David E. Ash brings over four decades of international engineering and project delivery experience across the energy, mining, infrastructure, and telecommunications sectors. As Director of Construction Engineering and a member of GG International’s Global Advisory Board, Mr. Ash plays a pivotal leadership role in the design, execution, and delivery oversight of complex capital infrastructure programs globally.
Mr. Ash's career has spanned continents and industry domains, including oil & gas (both onshore and offshore), mining (copper and gold), power generation (gas and coal), large-scale industrial construction, modular housing, transport infrastructure such as elevated highways and tunnels, and the highly specialized domain of prefabricated data centers and cable landing stations.
His extensive international experience includes leadership roles on major projects in Asia-Pacific (Singapore, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Philippines, PNG, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Guam), Africa (South Africa, Ghana, Zambia, Tanzania, Mali, and Burkina Faso), the Middle East (United Arab Emirates), and Europe (UK, Italy, Austria).
Mr. Ash has served prestigious clients including BHP, Bechtel, Lycopodium, Foster Wheeler, Fluor, Black & Veatch, Newmont, Barrick Gold, Dell Corporation, Japan Telecom, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, among others. His contributions have consistently focused on construction management, project execution strategies (PEP and CEP), and operational excellence across QA/QC, procurement, and contract negotiation.
David holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Bristol Polytechnic, UK, and has pursued postgraduate studies in Welding Design (RMIT, Australia), Construction Management and Architecture (Curtin University, Australia), and Executive Leadership (University of Melbourne). He is also certified in Project Management, Primavera, ISO 9001/14001, Sea Survival (HUET), and auditing (SGS).
Among his many standout achievements are the delivery of IMS data center projects across Australia, Southeast Asia, and Latin America, including for clients such as Globe, AIS, and Dell. These projects reflect his hands-on technical leadership and his ability to deliver high-performance infrastructure in challenging environments.
